In 2013, ARC collaborated with Clean Nova Scotia to create the opportunity for 14 people to come together and have a restorative conversation on wind energy in Nova Scotia. Circle participants included: Community members who have opposed wind harvesting in their communities or have experienced health impacts related to wind turbines near their homes, a municipal representative from Kings County, the Executive Director of the Department of Energy and the Coordinator of the Community Feed in Tariff Program (COMFIT), leaders of private businesses developing wind projects in the province, and representatives from Nova Scotia Power, the Ecology Action Centre, and “If You Build It”, a grassroots organization to provoke the hands-on development of renewable energy sources in communities.
